Boat Trips

While there is lots to do on a holiday to Benidorm, it would be a shame to miss the opportunity to take a boat trip.

There are three main destinations; Isla de Benidorm, Calpe, and Tabarca, and all are very enjoyable.

If you take the Isla de Benidorm trip, you’ll find yourself in a glass bottomed boat, where a magical underwater world can be viewed. It doesn’t take long to get there, as this little island can be seen from Benidorm itself.

Further away is Calpe; and, if you take a mini cruise to here, you will leave the boat next to the Penon de Ifach, the huge rock that Calpe is famous for, and which may strike you as a little reminiscent of the Rock of Gibraltar. The Penon de Ifach is a nature reserve and home to a variety of flowers, plants and animals. It only takes an hour each way, and you’ll have beautiful views of the little coves and bays of Altea, and amazing views of the Sierra Helada. While in Calpe there is lots of time to see this historic town and its sandy beach.

Tabarca is an island south of Benidorm, off Alicante. It is a marine reserve, and snorkelling to see the marine life there is an amazing experience. Spend time exploring the beaches and coves, and have a meal in one of the excellent restaurants. The journey takes about an hour and fifteen minutes each way.

As times and dates of trips vary, it’s always best to check locally before you make plans.

Enjoy your outings to Benidorm’s Islands!
